DTB Uganda Partners with Xpress Money to Strengthen Global Remittance Reach

Kampala, 12 – November 2024 - DTB Uganda has entered a strategic partnership with Xpress Money, an international cross-border payments solution provider, to enhance remittance services for its diaspora.

This partnership will allow people across the world to send money to their loved ones through Xpress money’s extensive global network and enable a secure, affordable and reliable access at all DTB branches in Uganda.

Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, DTB Uganda Chief Executive officer, Godfrey Sebaana, said, “We are thrilled to join hands with Xpress Money to boost our remittance offerings. At DTB Uganda, we continually seek ways to add value for our diaspora customers, and this collaboration provides an ideal platform for efficient and seamless remittances. With Xpress Money’s extensive network, our customers can easily support their loved ones, regardless of distance.”

As part of DTB Uganda's strategy, digital transformation and strengthening diaspora banking have been prioritized. The bank is focused on forging partnerships with fintech leaders to enhance its remittance solutions for the diaspora market, with the alliance with Xpress Money playing a significant role in this vision. Xpress Money offers both sending and receiving services via Cash-to-Cash, Account Credits, and Mobile Wallets.
